is responsible for maintaining high cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and back-of-house areas. This role ensures compliance with food safety regulations, keeps kitchen equipment and surfaces sanitized, and supports the overall efficiency of the culinary team in a fine dining environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, floors, walls, and storage areas.
Wash, dry, and properly store kitchen utensils, dishes, and cookware.
Ensure proper disposal of kitchen waste while following hygiene and safety regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of walk-in refrigerators, freezers, and dry storage areas.
Adhere to cleaning schedules and comply with food hygiene and safety regulations
Assist in deep cleaning kitchen equipment, including ovens, grills, and exhaust hoods.
Refill and stock cleaning supplies to ensure the kitchen remains well-equipped
Report any maintenance or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
Physical Working Conditions:
Typically works long shifts, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
May need to handle emergency cleaning during peak hours.
Lifting and carrying cleaning supplies, garbage bags, and kitchen tools (typically 10-20 kg)
Qualifications/Requirements:
Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality cleaning role (preferred).
Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced fine dining environment.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness.
Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
