Kitchen Cleaner/Steward
to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen and back-of-house areas.
Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, utensils, glassware, and kitchen equipment efficiently.
Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks (such as washing and cutting vegetables, unpacking deliveries).
Keep workstations, storage areas, and floors clean and organized at all times.
Dispose of kitchen waste and recycling safely and correctly, ensuring bins are emptied regularly.
Ensure cleaning products and equipment are used safely and stored properly.
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
Support the kitchen team during busy service hours with general cleaning and kitchen assistance.
Follow all company hygiene, food safety, and health & safety regulations.
Qualifications & Skills:
Previous experience in a kitchen stewarding or cleaning role is preferred (training provided).
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Physically fit and able to lift, carry, and stand for extended periods.
Strong sense of cleanliness, organization, and responsibility.
A positive team player with good communication skills.
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
