to join our livestock team in Al Ain. The ideal candidate will support the health and well-being of our animals, assist in disease prevention, and work closely with farm staff to ensure the best animal husbandry practices are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor the health and welfare of sheep and goats on the farm.
Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and diseases in livestock.
Assist in implementing vaccination and parasite control programs.
Support reproductive management including artificial insemination, pregnancy diagnosis, and lambing/kidding assistance.
Maintain detailed medical records and ensure proper documentation.
Educate and train farm workers on animal handling and health protocols.
Collaborate with senior veterinarians and farm management for herd health planning.
Conduct routine health checks and biosecurity assessments.
Respond promptly to animal health emergencies.
Requirements:
DVM or equivalent degree
in Veterinary Medicine.
2-4 years of experience working with small ruminants (sheep and/or goats).
Knowledge of common diseases, treatments, and preventative care for livestock.
Willingness to work in outdoor farm conditions in Al Ain.
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
Fluent in English and Urdu/Hindi (Arabic will be a plus)
Preferred:
Experience working in the UAE or similar climate.
Familiarity with local regulations regarding livestock care and veterinary practices.
Arabic language skills (not required, but a plus).
Accommodation will be provided.
Candidates who are already in UAE will be considered for the role.
