Inceptive Studio is seeking a motivated Junior Unreal Engine Developer to join our game development team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about game development to grow their skills while working on exciting projects.
Position Overview
We're looking for an enthusiastic junior developer who is eager to learn and contribute to game development projects. You'll work closely with senior developers who will mentor you while you gain hands-on experience with Unreal Engine development.
Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing game features using Unreal Engine 5
• Write clean, documented C++ code under senior guidance
• Create and maintain Blueprint systems
• Help implement basic gameplay mechanics
• Participate in debugging and testing
• Collaborate with team members to implement features
• Learn and apply game development best practices
• Assist with basic performance optimization tasks
• Document code and development processes
• Participate in code reviews to improve skills

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 0-2 years of game development experience
• Basic proficiency in C++ programming
• Knowledge of Unreal Engine 4/5 fundamentals
• Understanding of basic game development concepts
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git/Perforce)
• Strong desire to learn and grow
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with personal or academic game projects
• Basic knowledge of Blueprint Visual Scripting
• Understanding of basic 3D math concepts
• Experience with game jams or modding
• Familiarity with game design principles
• Basic understanding of optimization concepts

• Basic Unreal Engine 4/5 knowledge
