About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for Junior Sous Chef in Jumeirah Al Naseem. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:

Assist Sous Chef in supervision of all colleagues engaged in the kitchen.

Attend daily meetings with the Executive Sous Chef as required.

Assist Sous Chef in planning menus, recipes and test samples along with the Executive Sous Chef.

Write specific and accurate product specifications and standard recipes.

Along with Sous Chef, establish job methods, supervise and correct, if necessary, cooking standards to maintain a high quality of food and service.

Plan weekly rosters and review daily based on operations needs.

Liaise with the Chief steward to ensure high standards of cleanliness are maintained in all kitchen areas.

Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management.

About You:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

Completed kitchen apprentice or chefs training courses for at least one year

Experience in the same position in a luxury 5-star hotel or a renowned restaurant

Demonstrate passion for quality and cooking

Fluent in English
