- As the "Third-in-command" of the kitchen, the Junior Sous Chef plays a pivotal role, collaborating with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in supervising preparation, maintaining food quality, overseeing production, and managing costs.
- Delegate tasks to kitchen personnel, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Extend assistance to junior staff, ensuring the seamless operation of the kitchen.
- Demonstrate familiarity with administrative duties, such as ordering, inventory management, training, and scheduling.
- Culinary degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Proven expertise in a similar role or as a lead line cook.
- Showcase strong leadership and communication skills, contributing to a harmonious kitchen team.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment, ensuring efficiency without compromising quality.
- Familiarity with kitchen administrative tasks, including ordering and inventory management.
- Embrace a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings.
- Knowledgeable about food safety and sanitation regulations.
