Job Description

The Junior Production Surveyor will assist in the preparation, monitoring, and reporting of production costs, quantities, and progress on site. They will support the senior team in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role is ideal for someone starting their career in quantity surveying or production control in construction, joinery, or fit-out industries.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in measuring and quantifying materials, labor, and equipment required for production activities. Support the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions. Conduct site visits to monitor production progress and verify quantities. Assist in preparing interim valuations and final accounts. Help maintain accurate records of production costs and project variations. Liaise with site supervisors, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather relevant production information. Assist in cost reporting and forecasting to ensure budgets are maintained. Support the procurement team by obtaining and comparing supplier and subcontractor quotations.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field. 0-2 years of relevant experience (internships or trainee roles are a plus). Basic understanding of measurement techniques and construction processes. Good numerical and analytical skills. Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word) and basic knowledge of AutoCAD or other relevant software is an advantage. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Willingness to learn and develop within the role. Ability to work under supervision and take initiative when required. Help ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and project specifications. Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Production Surveyor or Project Manager.
