Job Title: Junior Planning Engineer - Fit-Out & Construction

Salary : AED 4000 to AED 6000

Location: Dubai, UAE Reporting to: Senior Planning Engineer / Operations Manager Department: Planning & Project Controls Type: Full-Time

Role Overview

The Junior Planning Engineer supports the scheduling, tracking, and coordination of fit-out, joinery, and FF&E projects. This role ensures that project timelines are realistic, monitored, and aligned with site execution. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within a premium contracting environment.

Key Responsibilities

Project Scheduling & Monitoring

Assist in developing baseline programs and detailed schedules for fit-out and construction projects. Update project timelines based on site progress, delays, and resource availability. Support planning for joinery production, FF&E delivery, and site installation milestones.
Coordination & Reporting

Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and procurement teams to gather progress data. Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and look-ahead schedules. Highlight risks, delays, and potential bottlenecks to the project manager or Operations Manager.
Tools & Documentation

Use planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) to manage schedules and dependencies. Maintain accurate records of updates, revisions, and approvals. Assist in preparing recovery plans and extension of time (EOT) documentation when needed.
Learning & Development

Stay updated on fit-out workflows, joinery timelines, and FF&E logistics. Contribute to continuous improvement in planning processes and reporting formats.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field 1-3 years of experience in planning for fit-out or construction projects Familiarity with Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools Strong analytical and communication skills Fluent in English
