GCI Contracting (under LEOS Developments) is actively seeking a motivated and detail-oriented
Junior MEP Coordinator
to support our MEP operations across villa and mid-rise building projects in the UAE.
The ideal candidate must be an Engineering graduate with
2-6 years of experience
working in MEP coordination, preferably within a contracting or construction company in the UAE.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in coordinating MEP activities (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting & ELV) across project sites.
Review basic MEP shop drawings, coordinated layouts, and builder's work drawings under guidance from senior engineers.
Support the coordination between subcontractors, consultants, and internal site teams to resolve technical and design issues.
Assist in the preparation, submission, and follow-up of drawings, materials, method statements, and technical documentation.
Monitor site installation activities to ensure alignment with approved drawings and project specifications.
Update logs for drawings, submittals, RFIs, MIRs, WIRs, and other project records.
Coordinate with civil and architectural teams for provisions such as sleeves, openings, and supports.
Verify material deliveries against approved submittals.
Support testing & commissioning activities and assist in system handover documentation.
Assist in arranging authority inspections and approvals (DEWA, DCD, DM, DDA, etc.).
Prepare weekly progress summaries and status updates.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Solid understanding of MEP services and basic construction coordination.
Knowledge of UAE authority requirements is an advantage.
Good communication and teamwork skills to support senior staff and subcontractors.
Strong documentation and follow-up capabilities.
Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office; familiarity with Navisworks/BIM is a plus.
Ability to learn quickly, multitask, and work under pressure.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
