Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of BOQs (Bill of Quantities) based on drawings, specifications, and scope of works. Calculate quantities and material take-offs from drawings. Support the senior estimator in obtaining material, subcontractor, and vendor quotations. Prepare preliminary cost estimates for new projects and variations. Analyze project drawings, scope, and requirements to identify cost factors and risks. Perform quantity take-offs using AutoCAD or other quantity surveying tools. Maintain and update cost databases and supplier/subcontractor contact lists. Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams for inputs needed in estimation. Support in preparing and submitting tender documentation and compliance requirements. Attend pre-tender meetings and site visits when required. Track submitted tenders and follow up for results or clarifications.

Qualifications & Skills

Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. 1-2 years of relevant UAE experience in an estimation or quantity surveying role within interior fit-out or construction. Support the preparation of cost breakdowns and pricing schedules. Familiarity with fit-out materials, MEP services, joinery items, and ID finishes. Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD Maintain accurate records of estimates, assumptions, and correspondence. Strong analytical, numerical, and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
