Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented

Electrical Design Engineer

with a minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical systems design for commercial, residential, and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:1. Electrical Design & Engineering:

Design electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, ELV (Extra Low Voltage), and control systems. Develop single-line diagrams (SLDs), load calculations, panel schedules, and wiring diagrams. Select appropriate electrical equipment, including transformers, circuit breakers, generators, and UPS systems. Ensure compliance with relevant international and local electrical codes (IEC, NEC, IEEE, Etihad W&E, etc.). Perform voltage drop calculations, short circuit analysis, and coordination studies. Fire & Life Safety Drawings, Telecommunication Drawings.

2. Project Documentation & Coordination:

Prepare and review technical specifications, design documents, and BOQs (Bill of Quantities). Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems. Review and approve shop drawings, as-built drawings, and material submittals. Assist in preparing cost estimates and feasibility studies for projects.

3. Compliance & Standards Adherence:

Ensure all designs comply with safety and quality standards. Conduct risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies. Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry best practices.

4. Site Support & Supervision:

Provide technical support during construction, installation, and commissioning phases. Conduct site inspections and resolve design-related issues in coordination with contractors. Attend project meetings and provide technical input as required.

5. Testing & Commissioning:

Assist in the testing and commissioning of electrical systems. Troubleshoot system malfunctions and recommend corrective actions. Ensure project handover documentation is complete and accurate.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Minimum

5 years of experience

in electrical design engineering, preferably in

building services, MEP, or industrial projects

. Proficiency in

AutoCAD, Revit MEP, ETAP, Dialux, or other electrical design software

. Strong understanding of

electrical codes and regulations

. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Effective communication skills and ability to present technical information clearly. Candidates with Etihad W&E Consultant License will be given priority.

Preferred Experience:

Experience with

HV/LV distribution systems Design

. Knowledge of

SCADA, BMS, and ELV systems

. Hands-on experience in

construction, commissioning, and troubleshooting

of electrical systems.
