About the job:
Kent is looking for a Graphic Designer with 2+ years hands on experience. To work within Kent's global corporate communications and advocacy team, on a permanent basis.
To be successful in this role you will need to have knowledge of print and digital graphic design, a creative flair, a strong sense of typography design skills, as well as experience with infographics and bringing campaigns to life.
Skills and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
Create and produce materials including, but not limited to (print and interactive): presentation materials, reports, campaigns, event collateral, brochures, project profiles, infographics, branded stationery, app/platform design
Collaborate with colleagues in the communications department and business stakeholders to conceive and suggest design mediums and tools that will be the most creative and effective solution for success
Design infographics - create charts, graphs, maps, illustrations, and other artwork
Powerpoint presentations - Become the central subject matter expert on PowerPoint, helping teams to develop engaging presentations and keep the company template fully up to date.
Creation of branded word document templates
Determine production of materials including assembling final layouts for printers, preparing notes and instructions for printers and other vendors
Be a brand champion by strictly adhering to our standards and creating designs modelled in other markets and businesses
Maintain the brand asset library on the company Intranet system including images, logos, a full-range of document templates and branded stationery
Keep organised and complete files and be ready to share internally
Keep up-to-date knowledge of current design methodologies and business to business marketing trends as well as in social media
Assist with special projects as needed
Execute design and production tasks ranging from simple document edits to email campaigns, creating images and content for web design, and development of collateral
Supporting the communications team with various adhoc tasks on an on-going basis.
In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. Qualifications in graphic/digital design related field
Bachelors Degree
Skills Requirement:
Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud with emphasis on InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Powerpoint and Microsoft Word with a desire to develop into expertise
Knowledge of interactive and digital design development would be an advantage
Desirable experience in Photography and Videography would be an advantage
Communication:
An ability to identify the best ways to make written and spoken words and stories come to life with visuals
A great eye for how to lay out data to be engaging to audiences
High levels of confidence in communications at all levels of the business
Behavior/ Core Competencies:
Detail-oriented, well organised, and comfortable working with a multitude of business stakeholders
Demonstrated experience with high-end graphics and marketing environment
Ability to work independently and under deadline pressure on several projects simultaneously
Team-oriented attitude and ability to contribute to design and functionality related marketing decisions
Ability to review, edit and format flawless marketing materials
Confident enough to bring creative ideas to the table
