Job Overview

The Junior Cost Controller/Accountant will play a key role in managing financial records and controlling costs to support the company's profitability and compliance objectives. This hybrid role combines accounting precision with cost management expertise, ideal for a driven individual looking to grow in a fast-paced environment.

Accounting:

Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.

Manage accounts payable/receivable and ensure timely processing of invoices and payments.

Conduct general ledger reconciliations and ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards.

Assist in preparing tax filings and ensuring adherence to UAE regulations.

Cost Control:

Develop and monitor budgets in collaboration with department heads.

Analyse cost variances and identify areas for cost optimization.

Track project expenditures and ensure alignment with financial forecasts.

Provide actionable insights to management on cost-saving opportunities.

Reporting & Analysis:

Generate monthly and quarterly financial reports for management review.

Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.

Collaboration:

Work closely with operational teams to align financial goals with business objectives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

1-4 years of experience in accounting, cost control, or a related role (fresh graduates with relevant internships considered).

Proficiency in accounting software ( QuickBooks) and advanced MS Excel skills.

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Knowledge of UAE financial regulations and tax laws is an advantage.
