Responsibilities
Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients.
Support kitchen stations (hot, cold, grill, salad) during service.
Follow recipes and prep lists under the guidance of senior chefs.
Help with opening and closing kitchen duties, cleaning, and equipment sanitization.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift.
Follow food safety, hygiene, and storage protocols (including FIFO rotation).
Adhere to HACCP guidelines for proper food handling, preparation, and storage.
Receive and properly store food deliveries.
Communicate stock levels or ingredient issues to senior chefs.
Take the initiative in learning new techniques, especially Mediterranean cooking styles.
Qualifications
Basic kitchen or culinary experience preferred (but not required).
Passion for food and a willingness to learn and grow.
Familiarity with HACCP principles and food safety best practices.
Good physical health and stamina to handle long hours, standing, lifting, and fast-paced service.
Ability to work well under pressure in a dynamic kitchen environment.
Team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
Available to work evenings, weekends, and during peak hours.
