Job Description

The Junior architect will be Responsible assisting with design development, creating architectural drawings, and prepares project documentation. conduct site visits, research materials, and ensure compliance with building codes. They will collaborate with the project team, contribute to client presentations, and help manage project timelines. Additionally, they support quality control by reviewing documents for accuracy and stay updated on architectural trends and software. Their role focuses on both creative and technical tasks under the supervision of senior architects as per the scope, specifications, standards, and project budget.

The candidate must possess expertise/experience in the following domains:

1. Assisting with Design Development:

o Collaborate with senior architects to create conceptual designs and detailed plans.

o Assist in the creation of CAD drawings, 3D models, and presentation materials.

2. Prepare Documentation:

o Support in the preparation of architectural drawings and specifications.

o Ensure that all documents comply with project requirements and regulations.

3. Site Visits and Surveys:

o Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions, measure spaces, and document findings.

o Assist in site analysis and feasibility studies.

4. Collaborate with Team:

o Work closely with the project team, including senior architects, engineers, and other consultants.

o Participate in meetings to discuss design ideas, feedback, and progress.

5. Research and Material Selection:

o Conduct research on materials, finishes, and building systems for projects.

o Assist in selecting appropriate materials for design, considering aesthetics, budget, and sustainability.

6. Regulatory Compliance:

o Help ensure designs meet local building codes, zoning laws, and other regulatory requirements.

o Assist in coordinating the submission of documents to obtain necessary permits.

7. Project Coordination:

o Assist in the coordination of project timelines, schedules, and tasks.

o Support senior architects in communicating with clients, contractors, and consultants.

8. 3D Modeling and Visualization:

o Help develop and present 3D models, renderings, and other visual aids for client presentations.

o Assist in using software like AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and other design tools.

9. Assist with Client Presentations:

o Prepare presentation boards, slides, and other materials for client meetings.

o Attend client meetings to take notes, discuss designs, and support senior staff.

10. Quality Control:

o Review and proofread architectural drawings and documents to ensure accuracy.

o Ensure consistency in design elements and adherence to design standards.

11. Continuous Learning and Development:

o Stay updated on the latest architectural trends, software, and building technologies.

o Participate in workshops, seminars, and training sessions to enhance skills.

The candidate must meet the following qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in architectural engineering or an equivalent degree. Minimum 5 years' experience in similar work fields. Fluent in English (Arabic is preferred). Strong technical knowledge in architectural engineering and construction projects. Excellent project management skills
