Jr. Barista - Okavango
Location: Okavango (This appears to be a specialty coffee brand, likely in a similar setting to the others)
Reports to: Head Barista / Cafe Manager
Job Overview:
The Jr. Barista is an entry-level position for an individual passionate about learning the art of coffee. This role supports the coffee bar operations by preparing beverages, handling transactions, and maintaining cleanliness, all while developing their skills under guidance.
Key Responsibilities:

• Coffee Support: Assist senior baristas in preparing coffee and tea beverages. Learn and practice milk steaming and espresso extraction techniques.
• Cashier Duties: Operate the POS system to process customer orders and payments accurately.
• Customer Interaction: Greet customers, answer basic questions about the menu, and provide friendly, efficient service.
• Preparation & Cleaning: Stock and replenish condiment stations, pastries, and supplies. Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and equipment. Keep the service area spotless.
• Learning & Development: Actively learn about different coffee beans, brew methods, and tasting profiles from the Head Barista.

Qualifications & Skills:

• No prior experience required; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
• Passion for coffee and the hospitality industry.
• Positive attitude and eagerness to take on new tasks.
• Good basic math skills for handling cash.
• Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team.
• High standard of personal presentation and hygiene.
