Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced joinery Draftsman with a specialized focus on interior fit out projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creating detailed technical drawings and plans for interior spaces. The Draftsman will collaborate closely with architects, designers, and project managers to bring innovative and functional interior designs to life. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

5+ years of UAE experience in managing a Senior Draughtsman role in a Fitout and Joinery company. Must have proven experience in independently handling luxury turnkey residential and commercial projects. Fluency in English and great communication skills UAE Driving license. Ability to take Design concepts and prepare accurate and detailed technical drawings, shop drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software for Joinery and Fitout. Ensure that joinery designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations. Create detailed material schedules, including quantities and specifications for joinery + fitout components. Coordinate with the production team and joinery craftsmen to provide clear instructions and guidance based on the drawings and specifications. Conduct site visits and measurements to gather information for accurate and precise design implementation. Review design drawings and shop drawings to identify potential design or constructability issues and propose solutions. Collaborate with suppliers to select appropriate materials and hardware for joinery and fitout projects. Stay updated on industry trends, joinery techniques, and new materials to propose innovative and cost-effective solutions. Maintain accurate documentation of design changes, revisions, and project updates. Taking ownership of the project and deliverables.

MUST HAVE REQUIREMENTS TO BE CONSIDERED.

Proven experience as a Joinery + Fitout Draughtsman in a similar industry. UAE experience is a MUST! - Proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD or similar tools. - Strong understanding of joinery and fitout construction methods, materials, and manufacturing processes. Excellent technical drawing skills with a keen eye for detail and precision. Knowledge of relevant building codes, standards, and regulations related to joinery and millwork.. Familiarity with joinery production techniques and machinery. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with project stakeholders. Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines. Diploma or degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field is preferred.
