The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for joinery, furniture, and interior fit-out projects by analyzing project specifications, drawings, and client requirements. The role requires close coordination with the design, procurement, and project teams to ensure competitive and profitable pricing.
Key Responsibilities
Review project drawings, specifications, and BOQs to prepare detailed cost estimates for joinery and fit-out works.
Analyze material, labor, and subcontracting requirements and prepare cost breakdowns.
Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations and ensure accurate pricing.
Prepare tender documents, technical and commercial submissions, and cost comparisons.
Work with the project and design teams to identify value engineering options and cost-saving opportunities.
Track market rates for joinery materials, finishes, and labor to maintain updated costing databases.
Support management in tender negotiations and client presentations.
Ensure timely submission of bids and accurate handover of awarded projects to the operations team.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree/diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
4-5 years of proven experience
in joinery estimation within the UAE interior fit-out/joinery industry.
Strong knowledge of joinery materials, finishes, and production processes.
Proficiency in estimation software, MS Office (Excel, Word), and AutoCAD.
Excellent analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Good communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
