A prominent joinery and fitout company based in Dubai, specializing in delivering high-quality interior solutions for commercial, retail, and residential spaces are seeking an experienced Joinery Estimator to join their team and play a key role in their projects. : Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled Joinery Estimator with 10 years of experience in the joinery and fitout industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating costs for joinery projects, ensuring that the clients receive competitive and precise quotations. The Joinery Estimator will collaborate closely with the project management and sales teams, playing a crucial role in securing new business opportunities and maintaining the reputation for quality and professionalism. Key Responsibilities:
  • Estimation: Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for joinery and fitout projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
  • Bid Preparation: Develop comprehensive and competitive bid proposals, ensuring all project requirements and specifications are met.
  • Vendor Management: Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes for materials and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
  • Project Documentation: Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all estimates, bids, and related documents, ensuring transparency and ease of reference.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and project management teams to understand client requirements and provide support in client meetings and presentations.
  • Value Engineering: Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions without compromising the integrity of the project.
  • Risk Assessment: Analyze potential risks associated with projects and propose mitigation strategies to minimize financial exposure.
  • Budget Adherence: Collaborate with project managers to monitor project costs and provide support in controlling expenses within the approved budgets.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in joinery and fitout estimation, preferably in Dubai or the UAE.
  • In-depth knowledge of joinery materials, techniques, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in estimating costs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when necessary.
  • Familiarity with local suppliers and subcontractors in Dubai is a plus.
