Interior Fit-Out / Joinery Draftsman

About the Role

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Interior Fit-Out / Joinery Draftsman to join our production and design team. The role involves preparing precise technical drawings, detailed joinery shop drawings, and 3D visual layouts for both commercial and residential interior projects. The ideal candidate combines technical drafting skills with creative problem-solving and a strong understanding of materials, finishes, and fabrication methods.

Key Responsibilities

Develop accurate 2D drawings and 3D visualizations for interior fit-out and joinery works using AutoCAD, SketchUp, or equivalent software. Prepare detailed shop drawings for furniture, joinery, and architectural elements, ensuring alignment with design intent and production capabilities. Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and production teams to ensure drawings are practical and executable. Conduct site measurements and inspections to verify dimensions and project requirements. Coordinate with suppliers and the procurement team for material specifications and finishes. Ensure accuracy, consistency, and clarity across all drawing documentation and submissions. Support design development by proposing creative and technically feasible solutions. Maintain drawing archives and revision logs in line with company documentation standards.
Qualifications & Experience

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related discipline. Minimum 3 years of experience in joinery or interior fit-out drafting within the UAE or GCC. Strong knowledge of joinery detailing, material selection, and manufacturing processes. Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other relevant drafting software. Excellent communication and coordination skills with attention to precision and timelines. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Preferred Skills

Experience in luxury or bespoke interior projects (villas, retail stores, or hospitality). Familiarity with sustainable materials and design practices. Working knowledge of rendering tools (e.g., Lumion, Enscape, or V-Ray) is a plus.
