Joinery Draftsman
Job Description
Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Architectural Drafting, Interior Design, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering
Certification or technical training in AutoCAD / 3D modeling software is preferred
Strong background in joinery, furniture, or fit-out industry
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed shop drawings for joinery, furniture, and interior fit-out works based on design specifications
Interpret architectural and interior design plans to create accurate joinery details
Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and production teams to ensure drawing accuracy and feasibility
Ensure all drawings comply with material standards, measurements, and project requirements
Prepare cutting lists, assembly details, and joinery component layouts for production
Review and revise drawings as per client or consultant feedback
Maintain organized documentation of all drawings and revisions
Assist in site measurements and resolve technical discrepancies during installation
Requirements:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Joinery or Fit-out Draftsman
Experience in furniture, interior design, or carpentry manufacturing is a must
