Job Description

Alia bin Omair Jewelry team is hiring a part time Quality Control Associate. This role will ensure that products and processes align with the brand\xe2\x80\x99s quality standards and execution of fulfillment needs with the collaboration of the online sales team. The goal of the Quality Control Specialist is to manage the day-to-day operations and quality assurance of the our operations in the UAE. - Oversee quality assurance, perform planned visits to various factories in Dubai. - maintaining inspection manuals and visual guides and perform detailed inspections of finished jewelry. - Identify and document any defects, imperfections, or deviations from quality standards in the jewelry items, including issues related to design, craftsmanship, settings, gemstones, and overall finish. - Utilize precision measuring instruments and tools to verify the accuracy of jewelry dimensions, gemstone sizes, and other critical measurements. - Prepare weekly quality reports. - Strong analytical skills coupled with the ability to effectively articulate decisions and metrics. - Building strong relationships with jewelry factories and suppliers. - Daily inspection of castings to ensure accuracy before production Qualifications - High school diploma. - 5+ years of industry experience. - Previous experience in Quality Control, particularly in a Jewelry Manufacturing company required. - Familiarity with the jewelry manufacturing process, including materials, gemstones, settings, and finishing techniques, preferred. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office. - Results oriented and self-directed individual with the ability to work independently or as a team. - Relationship building skills. - Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously and work with minimal supervision. - Strong oral and written communication skills. - Flexibility. Schedule: 5 hours 3 to 4 days a week. Work setting: in person + office (preferably with a car) Work location: Dubai Ability to commute/relocate within the United Arab Emirates. Requirements: Male.
