We are seeking an experienced and passionate Japanese Chef to join our culinary team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a profound knowledge of traditional and modern Japanese cuisine, with the ability to bring authentic flavors and innovative dishes to our guests.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a wide range of Japanese dishes, ensuring the quality and authenticity of flavors.
• Design new recipes and set menus, considering seasonal ingredients and contemporary culinary trends.
• Manage the kitchen operations, including ingredient procurement, food preparation, and kitchen staff supervision.
• Uphold the highest standards of food hygiene, and cleanliness in accordance with Dubai Municipality regulations.
• Engage with guests to gather feedback and provide a personalized dining experience.
• Train and mentor kitchen staff in Japanese culinary techniques and presentation styles.
• Collaborate with the management team to align the culinary offerings with the restaurant\xe2\x80\x99s concept and marketing strategies.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Japanese Chef with a minimum of 5 years in a high-end restaurant or hotel.
• Expertise in various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures of Japanese cuisine.
• Familiarity with sushi preparation, kaiseki, and teppanyaki style cooking.
• Strong leadership skills, capable of managing and motivating a multicultural team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Creativity in menu development and passion for culinary excellence.
• A culinary arts diploma or equivalent is preferable.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Japanese is an advantage.
