The IVF Nurse provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing fertility treatments, including IVF, IUI, and related assisted reproductive procedures. The role involves patient education, coordination of treatment cycles, assistance during procedures, and emotional support to patients and families.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage IVF treatment cycles in collaboration with physicians and embryologists.
Prepare and assist patients during procedures such as oocyte retrieval, embryo transfer, and IUI.
Administer medications related to fertility treatment and educate patients on self-administration (e.g., injections).
Monitor patient response to treatment, including hormonal therapy and ultrasound schedules.
Provide counseling, education, and emotional support to patients throughout the fertility process.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, treatment plans, and outcomes.
Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and confidentiality standards.
Assist with scheduling, coordination, and follow-up care.
Participate in quality improvement activities and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Nursing from an accredited institution.
Meeting QCHP/DHP Licensure
Minimum
3 years of experience
in IVF, fertility clinic, OB-GYN, or women's health.
Current
BLS certification
.
Knowledge of assisted reproductive technology (ART) procedures and protocols.
