- IT Systems Engineer
Duties and Responsibilities

• Join cross functional teams and help design, build and maintain secure, redundant and highly available technological solutions that address the needs of the organization
• Manage the existing infrastructure of the organization
• Manage the existing network of the organization
• Actively monitor existing infrastructure and technological solutions of the organization
• Take ownership of systems and / or services as required
• Act as an escalation point providing 2nd and 3rd level support as required
• Provide mentorship and training to team members when required
• Create and maintain documentation for existing and new systems and / or services
• Contribute to the creation of policies, processes or procedures as required by management

Requirements

• University degree in computer sciences / computer engineering or other related engineering discipline

• At least 5 years of experience working as a system administrator / system engineer preferably reaching a senior level
• Fluent English, both written and spoken
• Experience administrating SAN Storage solutions (DELL EMC or other)
• Experience installing, configuring and managing Windows and Linux based environments
• Experience setting up, deploying maintaining Active Directory environments
• Experience setting up and administrating Exchange mail servers
• Experience setting up and managing backup solutions (VEEAM, Acronis or other)
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMWare or other)
• Experience setting up and using monitoring systems and log management tools such as Zabbix or Prometheus (Grafana stack)
• Able to read and write scripts in Powershell, bash, python or other scripting languages
• Experience working with Microsoft 365
• Experience working with Cloud Infrastructure providers such as Microsoft, Amazon or others
• Desirable:

• Any relevant certifications
• Experience designing and managing networks and network devices such as switches (Cisco, HP, Fortigate or other), firewalls etc
• Experience working in a financial institution
• Experience working in a medium to large organization
• Experience in writing policies, processes or procedures
• Experience using automation / configuration management systems such as Ansible, Puppet, or other
• Any devops related experience
• Experience in creating documentation
