It Support Technician

Job Description

Provide first-line technical support to users, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues, CCTV System, SMATV (Satellite TV system) and access control system. Assist with desktop support, including installing, configuring, and upgrading operating systems, applications, and devices.

System Maintenance:



Perform regular maintenance on computer systems and networks, ensuring they operate efficiently.

Monitor system performance and proactively address issues such as network outages, hardware failures, or software malfunctions.

CCTV and Network Administration:



Assist in maintaining network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls. Troubleshoot connectivity issues related to LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi network Install, configure and trouble shoot CCTV cameras and NVR system with cabling. Set up and manage user accounts, permissions, and passwords.

Hardware and Software Installation:



Install, configure, and test new hardware and software, including desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices. Ensure that all IT equipment is up to date with the latest software patches and security updates.

Data Security and Backup:



Implement data security measures, including antivirus software, firewalls, and data encryption. Perform regular backups and ensure data is secure and recoverable in the event of system failures.

Documentation:



Maintain accurate documentation of IT procedures, network configurations, and system changes. Keep records of software licenses, warranties, and inventory of IT equipment.

Skills & Qualifications



Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Mac-OS, Linux) and commonly used software applications.

Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.

Basic understanding of SM ATV and Access control system.

Experience in troubleshooting CCTV, hardware and software issues. Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365, and IT support ticketing systems.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Report writing skills.

Education



An associate's degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) are often preferred.

Experience



Minimum (5) year's relevant experience as an IT technician or in a similar technical support role .

Responsibilities:

Respond to helpdesk tickets and resolve user issues efficiently to minimize downtime. Troubleshoot hardware and software problems for desktops, laptops, tablets, servers, printers, and scanners. Diagnose and resolve system, network, and application issues. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, system patches, updates, and upgrades. Visit operational sites (fuel stations, inspection stations, depots) to provide on-site support. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless IT operations and project delivery. Monitor and maintain inventory of all IT assets, licenses, and ensure compliance. Support PC systems, retail automation solutions, and user applications to minimize disruptions. Maintaining a Public Address (PA) and Background Music (BGM) system . Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support, ensuring SLAs are met for all incidents and requests. Assist with termination, installation, and configuration of forecourt automation devices and ensure their smooth operation. Facilitate user training and provide clear communication regarding new systems and updates. Proactively recommend solutions and improvements to enhance system performance and reliability.

Pay: QAR2,800.00 - QAR3,200.00 per month
