The IT Support Engineer provides technical assistance and support to end-users within the organization. Responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and system issues, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient operation of IT infrastructure. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, technical knowledge, and excellent communication to deliver high-quality support.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to and resolve user-reported issues via phone, email, or ticketing systems.
Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems.
Troubleshoot network connectivity, printer, and peripheral device issues.
Assist in setting up and maintaining user accounts, permissions, and security protocols.
Monitor system performance and perform regular maintenance tasks.
Document issues, solutions, and procedures clearly and accurately.
Assist in the deployment of new hardware and software across the organization.
Collaborate with the IT team to implement updates, patches, and security measures.
Provide training and support to end-users as needed.
Maintain inventory of hardware and software assets.
Follow organizational policies and procedures for IT security.
Qualifications & Experience:
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred
Relevant certifications can substitute or complement formal education
Certifications (preferred):
CompTIA A+ or Network+
Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
Cisco CCNA or equivalent networking certification
Experience Range:
Mid-Level: 2-5 years of hands-on experience supporting hardware, software, and network systems
