The IT Sales Executive is responsible for selling technology solutions, software, hardware, or IT services to clients. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, understanding customer requirements, and presenting tailored IT solutions to help clients achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and develop new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
Understand client needs and requirements to propose suitable IT solutions (hardware, software, services, or integrated systems).
Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations.
Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients to ensure ongoing business and customer satisfaction.
Achieve or exceed sales targets and KPIs set by management.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with clients in coordination with the sales manager or legal team.
Keep up-to-date with new products, market trends, competitors, and industry developments.
Maintain accurate sales records, customer interactions, and forecasts using CRM tools.
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure a smooth transition from sales to implementation/support.
Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to build network and promote services.
Requirements and Skills:
Proven experience in IT sales, tech sales, or a similar business development role.
Strong understanding of IT products and services, including cloud, software, networking, or cybersecurity (depending on your offering).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build rapport and trust with clients at all levels.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or related field (preferred but not always required).
