The IT team within Alshaya is a diverse, multi-faceted group; we provide support for the corporate, warehousing and retail specific IT infrastructure and systems. We have software teams creating and developing in-house applications and product teams optimising and integrating major third-party solutions. We are constantly evaluating how we provide robust, scalable, and business enabling infrastructure and systems in line with global benchmark standards.
Our company has recently embarked on a multi-year business and IT transformation programme that will deliver next generation applications and IT infrastructure to support organizational objectives. To help deliver the transformation programme, we have exciting opportunities for highly motivated, experienced Project Managers to join our team at one of our global hubs.
Reporting to a Programme Manager within the IT PMO team, you will:
be responsible for delivering multiple projects simultaneously using a waterfall or agile methodology
work with external partners and internal customers to deliver projects aligned to programme objectives
have end to end ownership of project delivery
prepare and maintain schedules, including dependencies and resources
facilitate identification and management of risks and issues
ensure quality management processes are adhered to
identify and engage your stakeholders, updating and adapting to changes as they occur within the project lifecycle
establish and maintain project governance in line with PMO guidelines
demonstrable knowledge and application of project management processes
excellent oral and written communication skills
strong analytical and research skills
commercial awareness
Desirable experience and skills are:
experience working in a retail IT environment
experience working on a transformation programme
business analysis skills
exposure to enterprise architecture principles
leading data migration projects
leading systems rollout projects
leading cutover teams
use of Microsoft Project to manage projects
