IT Engineer
Position: IT Engineer (Systems/Network/Infrastructure)
Department: Information Technology
Reports To: IT Manager, Head of Infrastructure
Job Overview:
The IT Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, hardware, and core software systems. This role ensures the stability, security, and efficiency of the technological environment, providing technical expertise and troubleshooting complex issues.
Key Responsibilities:

• Design, install, configure, and maintain servers (physical/virtual), network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls), and storage systems.
• Monitor system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability of IT infrastructure and services.
• Implement and manage security measures, including firewalls, antivirus, intrusion detection systems, and access controls to protect data and infrastructure.
• Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery operations; test recovery procedures.
• Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and network problems, providing Level 2/3 support.
• Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and patch management with minimal disruption.
• Document system configurations, network diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with other IT staff and vendors to plan and implement new technologies and solutions.
• Provide guidance on IT best practices and contribute to IT strategy and policy development.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as an IT Engineer, Systems Administrator, or Network Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN), server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CCNA/CCNP, MCSA/MCSE, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CompTIA Network+/Security+) are highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
