What Does an IT Audit Senior Do?
As an IT Audit Senior, you will be responsible for leading IT audit engagements, assessing IT risk, testing controls, and collaborating with financial audit teams to deliver exceptional audit quality. You will play a key role in identifying IT-related financial risks and ensuring compliance with auditing standards and Deloitte methodologies.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Conduct risk-based IT audit planning in coordination with financial audit teams
- Assess and test General IT Controls (GITCs), automated application controls, system-generated reports, and interface controls
- Perform IT risk assessments and evaluate internal control frameworks relevant to financial audits
- Prepare detailed audit plans, execute fieldwork, and ensure accurate documentation of audit procedures and findings
- Interface with client stakeholders to communicate audit results, resolve issues, and maintain client relationships
- Lead multiple engagements simultaneously while managing timelines, quality, and deliverables
- Ensure full compliance with Deloitte's professional standards and regulatory frameworks
- Support knowledge sharing and mentoring of junior team members
What Skills Are Needed for an IT Audit Senior Role in Dubai?
Education:
- Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Business Computing, or Management Information Systems
- CISA certification (preferred) or any other relevant IT audit certification
Experience:
- At least 6 years of IT audit experience, preferably in a professional services firm
- Strong background in auditing IT environments in financial services or telecom sectors
- Experience in testing controls related to applications, databases, and operating systems
Skills:
- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and data analysis techniques
- Strong analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work under pressure
- Deep understanding of business processes and IT control environments
- Comfortable conducting risk mitigation and identifying compensating controls
