Responsibilities


1. Curriculum Delivery+ Teach Islamic Studies A (for Muslim Arabic-speaking students) in line with the curriculum set by the local Ministry of Education or relevant authority.
+ Cover key topics including Quranic studies, Hadith, Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence), Aqeedah (Islamic beliefs), Seerah (life of the Prophet), and Islamic ethics.


2. Lesson Planning+ Develop engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that balance knowledge, critical thinking, and values.
+ Incorporate diverse teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners.


3. Assessment & Progress Tracking+ Design and administer formative and summative assessments to evaluate student learning.
+ Record, track, and report on student progress in line with school policies and ministry expectations.


4. Spiritual and Moral Development+ Support the spiritual, moral, and ethical development of students in line with Islamic principles.
+ Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating Islamic values in interactions with students and colleagues.


5. Parental Communication+ Provide regular updates to parents on student progress and well-being.
+ Engage with parents to support students' learning both at school and at home.


6. Collaboration and School Life+ Work closely with Arabic and other subject teachers to ensure a consistent approach to student learning.
+ Contribute to school events, Islamic celebrations (e.g., Ramadan activities, Islamic assemblies), and cross-curricular initiatives.


7. Professional Development+ Stay updated on best practices in Islamic education, pedagogy, and curriculum changes.
+ Participate in school-wide professional development and training.


8. Compliance and Safeguarding+ Ensure that all lessons and activities comply with school policies and local educational authority requirements.
+ Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Skills Description


1.Deep Islamic Knowledge+ Strong understanding of Quran, Hadith, Seerah, Fiqh, Aqeedah, and Islamic ethics.
+ Ability to explain complex religious concepts in an age-appropriate and culturally sensitive manner.


2. Language Proficiency+ Native or near-native proficiency in Arabic (Modern Standard Arabic) for delivering Islamic A curriculum.
+ Strong ability to teach religious terminology and texts in Arabic.


3. Curriculum and Pedagogy+ Familiarity with Islamic Studies A curriculum requirements, especially those mandated by the local Ministry of Education.
+ Skill in planning engaging, structured lessons that balance knowledge, discussion, memorization, and reflection.


4. Instructional Skills+ Effective teaching strategies for promoting student understanding, memorization (e.g., Quranic verses), and application of Islamic principles.
+ Ability to differentiate instruction for students with varying levels of prior knowledge and abilities.


5. Assessment and Feedback+ Competence in designing assessments and evaluating student learning and spiritual growth.
+ Ability to provide meaningful feedback that supports both academic and character development.


6. Classroom Management+ Strong classroom management and the ability to create a respectful, inclusive, and value-centered learning environment.
+ Ability to model and reinforce Islamic manners and ethics.


7. Technology Integration+ Competence in using educational technology and digital resources to enhance Islamic education delivery.


8. Communication and Interpersonal Skills+ Strong communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
+ Ability to engage families in supporting Islamic learning and moral development.


9. Cultural and Ethical Awareness+ Sensitivity to the multicultural environment of a British international school.
