Job Title: Irrigation/Civil Engineer - Landscaping & Hardscape Projects

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Irrigation/Civil Engineer with proven experience in landscape infrastructure, hardscape development, and irrigation systems. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the planning, design, and execution of civil and landscaping projects, ensuring functionality, sustainability, and aesthetic quality.

Key Responsibilities:Civil & Hardscape Engineering:

- Design and oversee the construction of hardscape elements such as walkways, retaining walls, pavements, curbs, plazas, pergolas, and outdoor recreational structures.
- Develop grading and drainage plans, ensuring proper stormwater management and erosion control.
- Prepare civil layout drawings including utility coordination (water, sewer, electrical) for landscape areas.
- Conduct site inspections, soil testing coordination, and topographic surveys to inform design decisions.
- Ensure compliance with municipal codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate with structural engineers and contractors for the execution of civil and hardscape works.

Irrigation Engineering:

- Design and implement efficient irrigation systems using drip, sprinkler, and smart irrigation technologies.
- Perform hydraulic calculations and pressure zoning to optimize water distribution.
- Integrate sustainable water management practices, including rainwater harvesting and greywater reuse.
- Supervise installation and commissioning of irrigation systems, ensuring quality and performance.

Project Management & Coordination:

- Collaborate with landscape architects, urban planners, and construction teams to ensure cohesive project delivery.
- Prepare BOQs, technical specifications, and cost estimates for civil and irrigation works.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation including as-built drawings, inspection reports, and maintenance manuals.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in landscape civil works, hardscaping, and irrigation systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and irrigation design software (e.g., RainCAD, HydroCAD).
- Strong understanding of construction materials, soil mechanics, and hydrology.
- Familiarity with local building codes, infrastructure standards, and green building practices.
- Valid [local] engineering license or certification is preferred.
