Key Responsibilities

Ironing & Pressing:

Operate steam presses, hand irons, or other finishing equipment to remove creases from various items (shirts, pants, linens, delicate fabrics).

Quality Control:

Inspect garments for stains, damages, or missed spots; report issues and ensure items meet standards.

Fabric Care:

Adjust temperature, steam, and pressure settings based on fabric type and care labels.

Sorting & Handling:

Sort items by type/color, guide them through machines, and carefully handle delicate materials.

Finishing:

Fold, hang, package, and prepare finished items for pickup or dispatch.

Maintenance:

Keep ironing equipment, work areas, and supplies clean and well-maintained.

Safety:

Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
Essential Requirements & Skills

Experience:

Prior experience in commercial laundry or dry cleaning.

Knowledge:

Understanding of different fabrics and their specific ironing needs.

Attention to Detail:

Meticulousness to ensure high-quality, wrinkle-free results.

Physical Stamina:

Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive motions.

Manual Dexterity:

Good hand-eye coordination for delicate items.

Efficiency:

Ability to work quickly and meet production goals.
