Invoice Controller
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Invoice Controller to join our clients fast-paced oil trading business. This role plays a key part in the trade settlement cycle, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoices for physical and derivative oil trades across global markets. You will liaise closely with internal trading, operations, and finance teams, as well as with external suppliers and counterparties.
Key Responsibilities:
Review, validate, and process supplier and customer invoices in line with contractual terms
Match invoices against trade confirmations and shipping documentation (B/L, CP, demurrage)
Monitor invoice discrepancies and resolve issues with counterparties and internal stakeholders
Ensure accurate booking of invoices in the trading and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Endur, Allegro)
Reconcile vendor statements and ensure timely payment processing
Assist with month-end accruals and reporting on invoice status and outstanding liabilities
Maintain auditable records of all trade-related invoices and settlements
Support audits and internal controls across the invoice and payables process
Collaborate with the Treasury and Settlements teams to manage cash flow planning
