An Asset Manager is a key professional responsible for the strategic oversight, management, and optimization of a portfolio of assets to maximize returns and achieve organizational or client objectives. This role requires a strong understanding of market dynamics, financial analysis, risk management, and strategic planning. The Asset Manager works to enhance asset value, mitigate risks, and ensure assets contribute effectively to overall financial goals.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree (MBA, Master's in Finance, or a related discipline) is preferred.
Proven experience in managing investment portfolios within a regulated setting such as FCA, CYSEC, FSRA (ADGM), DIFC.
Proven experience in asset management, investment management, financial analysis, or a related field, with a track record of successfully managing assets.
Strong understanding of financial markets, including Contract For Difference (CFDs), investment strategies, and valuation methodologies relevant to the specific asset class
Proficiency in financial modeling software and data analysis tools.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
A sound understanding of regulatory obligations relating to client risk profiling, investment governance, and suitability assessments;
The capability to align investment strategies with client objectives and risk appetite, while effectively managing portfolio risk.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks such as ADGM, DIFC, FSRA, CYSEC, FCA
Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or others relevant to the asset class are often highly valued.

Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive asset management strategies aligned with investment objectives and market conditions.
Analyze asset performance, market trends, and economic indicators to identify opportunities and risks.
Conduct detailed financial modeling, valuation, and sensitivity analysis for assets under management and potential acquisitions.
Perform thorough due diligence on potential asset investments or dispositions.
Manage relationships with clients, investors, and external partners, including brokers, and financial institutions (particularly in financial asset management).
Oversee the acquisition, management, and disposition of assets, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
Prepare and present detailed reports on asset performance, market outlooks, and strategic recommendations to senior management and stakeholders including drafting policy and procedure i.e. Investment Policy , Risk Management Policy etc.
Identify and implement strategies for value creation, cost reduction, and operational efficiency improvements.
Manage and mitigate risks associated with asset ownership, market fluctuations, and operational challenges.
Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, standards, and internal policies.
Lead and mentor junior members of the asset management team .
Collaborate with internal departments, such as finance, legal, and operations, to ensure seamless asset management.
Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging trends, and technological advancements in asset management.
