Inventory Manager

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:



1. Department Preparation:



Lead efforts to

assess current inventory practices

, systems, and organizational structure.

Design and implement

process improvements, SOPs, and reporting templates

to align with SAP standards and modules.

Build and structure the inventory team to support ERP transition, including

defining roles, responsibilities, and workflows

.

Conduct

readiness audits and gap analysis

across inventory, warehouse, and procurement functions.

2. SAP Implementation Leadership:



Collaborate with IT, consultants, and internal stakeholders to

plan, test, and implement

SAP module.

Coordinate

master data cleansing and migration

, including materials, stock locations, suppliers, and units of measure.

Serve as the primary point of contact for

inventory-related SAP configuration, training, and troubleshooting

.

Ensure accurate mapping of inventory processes into SAP and go-live support.

3. Inventory & Warehouse Management:



Oversee daily inventory operations including

stock control, warehousing, and order fulfilment

for marine-grade and project-specific materials.

Develop and enforce best practices for

stock accuracy, cycle counting, and inventory reconciliation

.

Ensure timely and efficient supply of materials to project sites, maintaining alignment with project schedules and installation phases.

4. Team Development & Leadership:



Train, and manage the inventory and warehouse team.

Lead cross-functional collaboration between inventory, procurement, project, and finance departments.

Deliver SAP and process training for all inventory team members to build system competency.

5. Reporting, Documentation & Compliance:



Maintain comprehensive records including

stock reports, logs, and KPI dashboards

.

Generate detailed reporting on stock turnover, material usage, project stock allocation, and replenishment planning.

Ensure all inventory processes comply with

health, safety, and audit standards

, including accurate labelling, segregation, and storage.

6. Stakeholder Collaboration:



Act as the inventory liaison for

project managers, site supervisors, and fit-out teams

, ensuring material flow aligns with on-site requirements.

Communicate regularly with the management team on

inventory readiness, SAP progress, and process efficiency

.
