Internship Offer - WordPress / PHP Developer (Backend)

Role Purpose

As a

WordPress / PHP Developer Intern (Backend)

, you will participate in the

development and maintenance of business logic and core features

of our online marketplace built with

WordPress, WooCommerce, and Dokan

.

You will work mainly on the

backend side

, focusing on functionality, performance, and code quality, while collaborating closely with

Front-End and QA teams

.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain

custom WordPress plugins

Implement and improve

homepage product recommendation logic

Customize

WooCommerce and Dokan behaviors

using hooks and filters Fix bugs and improve

performance and stability

Work in a

staging environment

following best practices Write

clean, well-documented, and reusable code

Collaborate with: Front-End developers QA / Testers Tech Lead/ Product owner
Skills & Experience (Required)

Basic to good knowledge of

PHP

Understanding of

WordPress development standards

Familiarity with

WooCommerce hooks & filters

MySQL basics

(queries, understanding tables) Basic knowledge of

Git

(commit, pull, push) Ability to debug issues using logs and tools
Nice to Have

Experience creating a simple WordPress plugin Knowledge of WordPress actions & filters Interest in e-commerce or marketplaces Curiosity about performance and scalability
Not Responsible For

Server or infrastructure configuration Visual design or UI/UX decisions
