The Intern/JR Graphic & Multimedia Designer is responsible for helping to drive the creative direction of brands and campaigns, ready to develop his existing skills by working with senior creative staff on a range of ambitious and innovative projects. An understanding of typography, photography, layout, animation and art direction will be needed to help the team produce the best work possible.
Roles & Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Create graphics and visual elements for product illustrations, logos, original images, for social media platforms and other media to deliver a message or brand experience
Design layouts, including selection of colors, images, graphics, text style and layout
Design graphics (still & motion), banners and other Web images to be part of multi-channel campaigns or usage
Apply brand/style guidelines and be able to establish or create guidelines when brands evolve, or a need arises.
Collaborate with designers and copywriters and other creative colleagues to deliver on the client's brand look and feel
Contribute to conceptualizing campaigns and activations from a creative perspective
Work on multiple projects simultaneously manage time and set expectations with team.
Create, curate and manage all published original, high quality content intended for multi-channel platforms i.e, Instagram posts, stories, banners etc.
Participate in client meetings and present work to clients with a confident and well-articulated rationale that is grounded in the strategic insight for the assignment
Be open to feedback and adapt to creative and strategic direction (while confidently outlining the rationale and choices that back your work)
Understand marketing initiatives, strategic positioning and target audience
Stay on top of all trends and maintain best practices
Critical Competencies:
An intimate understanding of design, copy and web best practices/guidelines
Experience with a variety of software including Photoshop, InDesign, Flash, etc
2D/3D illustrations
Motion Graphics
Excellent leadership skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of social media and emerging trends
Understanding of the creative process, time and resources to move projects from concept to completion

Qualifications:
4-year college/university degree, ideally in Digital Media, Visual Communications, Digital Journalism or similar
