Job Description

1. Menu Development & Execution



Plan and prepare dishes from various international cuisines (e.g., Mediterranean, Asian, Middle Eastern, European, Latin American, etc.). Collaborate with the Head Chef to design and update globally inspired menus. Ensure dishes are prepared to the highest standard in both taste and presentation.

2. Culinary Expertise & Authenticity



Maintain deep knowledge of ingredients, spices, cooking techniques, and plating styles used in global cuisines. Source authentic ingredients when possible and adapt recipes without compromising integrity. Stay updated with international food trends and regional culinary practices.

3. Kitchen Operations



Supervise kitchen staff involved in international food preparation. Ensure timely and efficient food production during service hours. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen areas.

4. Quality Control & Consistency



Monitor food quality, taste, and portion control to meet restaurant or brand standards. Implement systems for consistency across different shifts and locations (if applicable). Conduct regular tasting sessions with team and management.

5. Hygiene & Safety



Enforce food safety standards in line with local health regulations and HACCP. Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients to prevent spoilage. Maintain a sanitized and organized kitchen environment at all times.

6. Staff Training & Development



Train cooks and kitchen staff on international cuisine techniques, preparation, and plating. Mentor junior chefs in multicultural culinary knowledge. Promote teamwork and cultural appreciation in the kitchen.

7. Inventory & Cost Control



Assist in ordering international ingredients and managing inventory efficiently. Reduce food waste and control costs without compromising food quality. Track consumption trends and adjust prep levels accordingly.

Required Skills & Qualifications:



5+ years of experience in a professional kitchen, with a strong focus on international cuisine. Formal culinary education or equivalent experience in multicultural kitchens. Excellent knife skills and deep knowledge of cooking methods across regions. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment. Proficiency in food safety, hygiene regulations, and allergen awareness.
