Our client is a specialist investment vehicle based in Abu Dhabi, that deploys capital in smart and
advanced mobility solutions. It aims to create a smart mobility platform by investing in and partnering
with industry leaders around the world. Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a robust Internal Audit function to ensure high standards of business control, risk management, and corporate governance.
  • Create an annual audit plan based on a risk-based methodology, addressing management concerns, and seek Leadership approval.
  • Define audit scopes and lead the development of the annual audit plan covering operational, financial, and technology audits.
  • Oversee audits aligned with organizational terms, internal audit methodology, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal control structures, reporting findings to Leadership, and recommending improvements.
  • Review the reliability of financial and operational transactions, ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and laws.
  • Evaluate new functions, services, and processes for effective control implementation.
  • Monitor asset safeguarding and resource deployment efficiency.
  • Ensure implementation of remedial plans and changes as recommended.
  • Issue periodic audit reports and stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in internal auditing.
  • Coordinate with regulatory authorities and external auditors for compliance and follow-up.
  • Stay updated on international auditing standards and implement relevant practices.
Education and Certifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; Masters degree preferred.
  • CPA, CIA, CISA certifications preferred.
  • 10 to 15 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Transformational leadership.
  • Results-oriented mindset.
  • Proficient in audit techniques, planning, and execution.
  • Familiarity with forensic auditing and accounting standards.
  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
  • Knowledge of policies, rules, and corporate governance.
  • Ability to manage stakeholder relationships and advocate for best practices.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
