Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION Title : INTERIOR / INDUSTRIAL DESIGNER Reporting to : PRESIDENT Main Objective : Prepare sketches / designs / artworks or other visual aids to demonstrate preliminary designs- functional, safe and aesthetically pleasing spaces, consult with their clients on materials they would like used in a project, then determine timelines for projects based on those estimates and costs involved before presenting it all together. They make sure the installation of materials, furniture, and other design elements are carried out to perfection. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Visualizing and Creating beautiful artworks / designs which are relevant, functional and on trend.
- Visiting job sites to analyse and develop initial ideas and concept as per design need; products concepts requirements to fabricate; space availability and its purpose
- Attending client meetings to understand the design needs and client preferences regarding interior design or product designs, usage, styles and colours.
- For designing Products for Manufacturing, must present designs and demonstrate prototypes explaining the product safety, appearance and all the functions to determine if design is practical
- For Clients Approval requirements, you must present a proposal by Creating Initial Design Sketches with colour theme and all ideas, then interpret and translate to client from project start, during installation / fabrication till the completion along with their allocated budget and ensuring all proposals comply with the relevant regulations.
- Research and decide on materials and products sourcing like any materials and items required to complete the project. If needed, work closely to different departments like sales and marketing, designers, architects, engineers, contractors and vendors/suppliers to implement design ideas, such as Carpenters, Painters, Plumbers, Electricians, Artist etc.
- Supervise and inspect work progress as per design, budget and timeline; arranging client visits and everyone involved in the project to appraise of its progress.
- From time to time, assist on products design development and prepare plan to market new product designs to consumers.
- Do research to follow industry changes, evolutions and best practises.
- Degree in Architectural / Interior Design / Graphic Design
- Proven 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 working experience in Decoration of interior spaces and designing commercial kitchen & MEP drawings for (Hotels, restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, pastries, Hospitals, Food trucks, Supermarkets etc
- Expertise in layout, colour, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture, and all installations
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator or other design programs.
- Excellent portfolio of previous works
- Highly creative, imaginative, and artistic
- Good communication and presentation Skills
- Work Cooperative with others
- Ras al-Khaimah: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
- Have you done interior designing on Commercial Kitchen, buildings, restaurants or cafeterias ?
- Interior & Industrial Design: 5 years (Required)
