That's Living Kids is seeking a creative, driven, and experienced
Interior Designer cum Team Leader
to lead the design, planning, showroom display, and execution of children-focused interior projects, while actively contributing to sales growth. This role combines
design leadership, hands-on project execution, showroom visual merchandising, and business development
to deliver inspiring, safe, and functional spaces aligned with the brand's vision.
Key Responsibilities Design & Creative Leadership
Lead concept development for kids' interiors including play areas, bedrooms, schools, nurseries, and retail spaces
Ensure designs are child-friendly, safe, functional, and visually engaging
Maintain consistency with That's Living Kids' brand identity and design standards
Review and approve layouts, mood boards, material selections, and 3D visualizations
Team & Project Management
Manage, guide, and mentor the interior design team
Allocate tasks, set timelines, and monitor project milestones
Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and internal departments
Oversee multiple projects from concept through completion
Client & Stakeholder Coordination
Attend client meetings to understand requirements and present design proposals
Provide professional design solutions tailored to client needs
Manage revisions, approvals, and client expectations efficiently
Showroom Visual Merchandising
Lead the visual merchandising of the That's Living Kids showroom
Design engaging showroom layouts that attract customers and drive sales
Regularly refresh displays based on new collections, themes, and seasons
Ensure showroom presentation supports customer conversion
Sales & Business Development
Actively generate new sales through client meetings, referrals, and networking
Convert walk-in and online inquiries into confirmed projects
Present design proposals with strong commercial and value-driven storytelling
Work with management to achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets
Identify upselling opportunities for furniture, decor, and customization
Technical & Site Execution
Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and BOQs
Conduct site visits to ensure design intent is executed correctly
Coordinate with fit-out teams and contractors
Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
Required Skills
Strong leadership and team management abilities
Excellent creative, conceptual, and spatial design skills
Expertise in child-centric and family-friendly interior design
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3Ds Max, V-Ray, Lumion, or similar software
Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, furniture, and lighting
Understanding of safety standards for children's interiors
Excellent communication, presentation, and client-handling skills
Ability to multitask and work under pressure
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or a related field
5-8 years of interior design experience, including 2-3 years in a leadership role
Experience in kids' interiors, residential, retail, or educational projects preferred
Strong portfolio of conceptual and executed projects
GCC experience is an added advantage.
