Cost Estimation:
Analyze project requirements and provide accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and other expenses.
Ensure BOQs align with the project budget and design specifications.
Tender Documentation:
Assist in preparing tender documents, including BOQs, specifications, and drawings.
Evaluate contractor bids and provide recommendations.
Project Coordination:
Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to BOQ and design specifications.
Concept Development:
Create innovative and functional interior design concepts for residential, commercial, and hospitality projects.
Develop mood boards, color schemes, and material palettes to present design ideas to clients.
Space Planning:
Design efficient and aesthetically pleasing layouts that maximize space utilization.
Ensure designs comply with building codes, safety regulations, and client requirements.
3D Modeling and Rendering:
Use software like AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or 3ds Max to create detailed 3D models and renderings.
Present visualizations to clients for approval.
Material and Finishes Selection:
Select appropriate materials, finishes, furniture, and fixtures that align with the design concept and budget.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source materials.
Client Interaction:
Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget constraints.
Present design proposals and incorporate client feedback into final designs.
Engineering Duties:
Technical Expertise:
Apply engineering principles to ensure designs are structurally sound and feasible.
Conduct site inspections to assess structural conditions and provide technical solutions.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure all designs and BOQs comply with local building codes, safety standards, and regulations.
Address any technical challenges during the design and construction phases.
Qualifications:Required:
Bachelor's degree in
Interior Design

Civil Engineering

, or a related field.
Proven experience as an
Interior Designer
and
BOQ Specialist
in the construction or design industry.
Strong proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max) and BOQ preparation tools.
Excellent knowledge of materials, finishes, and construction methods.
Strong analytical and cost estimation skills.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
