Job Title - Planning Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking a creative and technically skilled Interior Designer / 3D Visualizer to bring spaces to life through concept, design development and high-quality visualisation. The ideal candidate will work across interior fit-out or real-estate development projects from concept and material selection through to 3D renderings, layouts and coordination with project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Develop initial design concepts, mood-boards, space planning, material & finishes selection and furniture, fixtures & equipment (FF&E) schedules.
Produce detailed 2D drawings (plans, elevations, sections) and construction/fit-out documentation ensuring design intent can be executed.
Create photorealistic 3D visualisations and walkthroughs using tools like 3ds Max, SketchUp, V-Ray/Corona, Lumion and deliver compelling presentation visuals for clients.
Coordinate with procurement, production planning, site teams and project management to ensure design specifications, materials and finishes align with project requirements.
Stay updated on current design trends, materials, finishes, furniture systems and local/region-specific standards applicable to the UAE/GCC.
Present design concepts and visuals to clients and internal stakeholders; incorporate feedback and refine accordingly.
Manage and maintain asset libraries, 3D models, render files, version control and revisit earlier design iterations when required.
Support the design team on-site or in-office by reviewing mock-ups, finish samples, joinery details and verifying execution aligns with the approved visuals.
Deliver multiple tasks concurrently, meet deadlines, remain quality-focused and contribute to the overall project success.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Visual Communication or related discipline.
Minimum 3-5 years experience in interior design and 3D visualisation preferably within interior fit-out or real-estate development in the UAE or GCC region.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D), SketchUp/Revit (3D modelling), 3ds Max/Maya, and rendering engines (V-Ray/Corona/Lumion); plus Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign).
Portfolio demonstrating interior design and 3D visualisation work, especially showing materials, finishes, lighting, textures and render quality.
Good understanding of space planning, FF&E selection, shop drawings, site coordination and fit-out detailing.
Excellent communication (written & verbal) and presentation skills; ability to engage with clients, suppliers, contractors and internal teams.
Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are a plus. Valid UAE driving licence is advantageous if site visits are required.
