• Collaborate closely with interior designers, architects, and clients to understand project requirements, furniture specifications, and design concepts.
• Translate conceptual furniture designs into detailed technical drawings, plans, and elevations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design standards.
• Generate comprehensive furniture specifications, including dimensions, materials, finishes, and hardware details.
• Research and select appropriate materials, finishes, and hardware for each furniture design, considering factors such as aesthetics, functionality, durability, and budget constraints.
• Develop and maintain a library of furniture details, standards, and symbols to facilitate efficient drafting processes.
• Coordinate with manufacturers, suppliers, and vendors to obtain product samples, pricing, and technical information for specified furniture pieces.
• Assist in the preparation of presentations, including renderings and 3D visualizations, to effectively communicate furniture designs to clients.
• Collaborate with the procurement team to review and evaluate furniture samples, prototypes, and shop drawings for quality and compliance with design intent.
• Conduct regular site visits to ensure accurate implementation of furniture designs, resolve technical issues, and provide necessary clarifications to contractors and installers.
• Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and advancements in furniture design, drafting tools, and software.

• Bachelor\'s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Interior Design Drafter, with a strong focus on furniture design.
• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools.
• Solid understanding of furniture construction techniques, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong technical drawing and drafting skills, with a meticulous eye for detail.
• Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to furniture design and space planning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
• Creative problem-solving abilities and the capacity to think critically and analytically.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with 3D rendering and visualization software is a plus.
• Portfolio of previous furniture design and drafting projects is highly desirable.
