"Wood in the UAE is looking to expand its Engineering capabilities in Abu Dhabi to address a significant pipeline of Offshore Oil and Gas facilities expansion projects, building on the current local capabilities and the wide experience available in the other Wood centers of excellence including in the UK and USA.
In support of this plan, we are looking for experienced Interface Engineer to join our Engineering team with a proven track record in executing both Onshore and Offshore projects from Select / Concept to Execute for clients in the middle east (ADNOC experience is desired / preferred) and globally". Project Interface Engineer ensures good preparation and coordination of activities between technical and project interfaces including all project sub-Contractors and third parties at the Interface Points within the battery limits of the project. Ensure all interfaces are co-ordinated to perform sufficient preparations and assess all realistic problems and encourage the development solutions for interface activities such as tie-ins, testing, etc to support seamless completion, commissioning and start up. Ensure potential for schedule delays is minimized by planning ahead and co-ordinate all interfaces to coordinate closely on all interfaces
Anticipation and understanding of site interface demarcations on documents such as P&IDs, Plot Plans and GAs
Work with all technical and project interfaces to ensure interface responsibilities are understood and potential problems identified
Review of FEED documentation to assess consistency in the demarcation of interfaces
Be a focal point for all interfaces with other internal and external project stakeholders
Prepare and conduct interface reviews with technical and project interfaces in critical areas
Issue regular interface management reports to PM and customer management
Be part of the day-to-day interfacing between the projects, project managers and engineering and construction teams
Drive and co-ordinate Project Interface Meetings as required
Participate in key customer reviews and meetings as required
Participate in Project reviews
Skills / Qualifications:
BSc Engineering
Minimum of 10 years' experience in the oil and gas industry mainly being offshore upstream
Minimum of 5 years proven capability in an engineering design company in a similar position
Offshore experience is must, whilst ADNOC experience is desired
Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage
Personality and drive to support the Project Manager to manage the team to achieve the overall Project objectives, with high professional competence and management skills
Exposure to wide variety of project environments
Exposure to wide variety of design, engineering, project services, procurement and construction elements
