Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, has an immediate opening for a Shutdown & Interface Manager.

Incument will assist the Project Director in the management of a large multi-billion mega project. Successful candidate will report to the Project Director and will support the safe and successful start-up and commissioning of the project and hand-over to operations.

The Jazan IGCC Project involves multiple stakeholders: 3 different owners bound by a JV arrangement; multiple EPC contractors & vendors (over 50); PMC contractor; external stakeholders & government entities; a JV-affiliated project execution organization to support the successful start-up & commissioning, and an overall JV-affiliated project operations organization.

Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

Close any gaps, manage interfaces, understand the big picture, map out the stakeholders, and define the communication lines. Ensure that organizational factors do not inhibit required project integration. Support Project Director by ensuring the successful management of the project's process interfaces. Responsible for managing the necessary interactions across multiple work streams, providing relevant expertise within the project and coordination across the various teams on behalf of the Project Director. Manage both internal and external sources of information and interfaces according to the project scope and schedule. Represent the JV where appropriate to JV owners, EPC contractor, PMC contractor, vendors and service providers as appropriate to the needs of the work for all interface requirements. Identify and define Interfaces at earliest opportunity. Develop an interdependency schedule for the interfaces. Develop an interface coordinators list from engineering, procurement, construction, transport, start-up/ commissioning, and any other organizations which are required for resolution of interfaces Develop, implement and maintain the designated interface management methods, systems and procedures for use by all functions, contracting parties and stakeholders. Provide, with full responsibility and accountability, leadership and excellence in the achievement of coordinating both technical (hard) and governance (soft) through the various stages of the project. Coordinate interfaces on a complex, mega, integrated gasification project, at various completion stages, arising from ownership changes with JV parties. Provide support to internal and external stakeholders during project execution to resolve any outstanding issues and meet project objectives. Interface with different contracting parties, owners, customers, government bodies and existing facilities in coordination. Propose and recommend appropriate solution as necessary to maintain compliance with local authority(ies) requirements. Negotiate and manage complicated interface issued among different project phases and the existing facilities. Develop, implement and maintain a project Interface Management System (IMS) in consultation with the Project Director and the IGCC CEO General Manager. Ensure critical interfaces are identified and acknowledged by all three JV parties, PMC contractor, and the various EPC contractors and vendors. Develop interface reporting systems and performance indicators to ensure any arising Disentanglement & Transitional projects, O&M manuals, Vendor Data, Design documentation, Punchlist documentation, etc. are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with the agreed project requirements. Serve as the single point of contact for the supporting Project Interface Coordinators with regards to interface management plans, processes, agreements and progress updates. Provide leadership and management for the interface team to ensure safe, cost effective and timely resolution of all interfaces. Ensure that the JV and company policies, procedures, and controls are adhered to at all times. Lead the development of and approve all interface registers and reports. Devise own work methods and working practices independently within the framework of established policies and guidelines in order achieve project objectives where necessary. Culturally-sensitive and be exposed to different cultures, backgrounds, and environments. Attend to and resolve conflicts, challenges and problems related to a large multi-cultural and multi-discipline technical workforce. Review / Validate detailed design and Engineering Deliverables, punchlist items, and turnover packages. Participate in design reviews, Value Engineering, Risk Management workshops, constructability Reviews, PHSERs, Pull-Planning, Mechanical Completion walkdowns, and handover of systems and Units to Start-up & Commissioning. Participate in Technical Evaluation of Bids. Review '' AS-BUILTS'' coordinate with Project Documentation Manager, Project Engineering Manager, Turnover Manager, EPC & PMC Director, and Start-up & Commissioning Director to ensure completeness and accuracy of project documentation.SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in engineering from a recognized university A minimum of 20 years' experience in project management / interface leadership roles with proven track record for major and mega Oil & Gas and/or integrated Gasification projects Experienced in developing and leading effective project interface organizations Experienced in the implementation of industry best practices and Company's systems, processes, and standards Proven ability to apply sound judgment and analytical skills due to the complex and diversified nature of the position Extensive skills in management and leadership, team building, effective communication, conflict resolution and presentations Familiarity interacting with EPC contractors, follow-up on clearing punchlist items, and familiarity with punchlist tracking reporting systems (CoreWorx Reports, etc.) Culturally-sensitive and possesses outstanding communication & organizational skills, with the ability to interact with the Interface Managers and key stakeholders at Aramco & the EPC contractors. Previous experience in EPC brownfield projects in Arabian Gulf experience is preferable. Familiarity with Saudi Aramco standards preferred. Confident and mature.
