Job Description

The ITS Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Intelligent Transportation Systems that improve traffic flow, enhance safety, and optimize transportation infrastructure. The role combines traffic engineering, electronics, and IT solutions to develop smart transportation networks.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain ITS infrastructure, including traffic signal systems, CCTV, sensors, variable message signs, and communication networks. Develop and manage software and hardware solutions for traffic management, incident detection, and data collection. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize ITS systems for efficiency, reliability, and safety. Collaborate with government agencies, traffic engineers, and contractors for ITS projects. Conduct feasibility studies, technical analysis, and cost estimates for ITS deployments. Ensure compliance with local and international standards for ITS systems. Analyze traffic data and provide actionable insights to improve road safety and reduce congestion.
Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Communication Engineering. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in ITS, Smart City, or Traffic System projects (Qatar/ GCC experience preferred). Proven ability to lead full project lifecycles -from design through installation, testing, and 0 & M. Strong knowledge of QCS, Ashghal, and QFITS standards. Ability to interpret and approve technical drawings, shop drawings, and as-built documents. Skilled in network configuration, fault diagnosis, and system integration. Excellent coordination with clients, consultants, and subcontractors. Strong communication, documentation, and leadership skills. Immediate joining preferred (NOC required). Traffic Signalization Systems -field cabinet setup, controller configuration, and signal optimization. Over Height Vehicle Detection (OHVD)- system calibration, sensor alignment, and integration warning signs

Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV)- configuration of IP-based surveillance, NVRs, and control center connectivity. Dynamic Message Sign (OMS)- installation, software programming, and message display configuration. Lane Control Sign (LCS) - lane management systems and control network integration. Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) - setup, calibration, and data integration to central servers. Weigh-In-Motion (WIM) - sensor installation, calibration, and data validation for high-speed weighing systems. Communication & Security Networks - configuration of switches, fiber connectivity, and network topologies for ITS.
