Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Engineer
Abu Dhabi, UAE
Parsons Abu Dhabi is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Engineer to join our dynamic team.
What Youll Be Doing:
- Independently develop and/or supervise the creation of engineering products that meet customer quality requirements. This includes defining the problem, establishing the work scope, preparing the budget and schedule, planning the work, providing technical direction, and reporting the work status.
- Typical products may include detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses.
- Provide support for other engineering activities as required.
- Supervise one or more subordinates and provide input regarding performance.
- Be assigned to a project or organizational team, or serve as a lead engineer for a specific discipline on a small to intermediate size project.
- Provide input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Telecommunications, Computer, or Electronics Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience in the design of ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems), Communications systems, and CCTV systems.
- Proven experience in the design and operation of ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems) systems and infrastructure.
- Experience in the design of Urban Traffic Control Systems (TCS).
- In-depth knowledge of ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems), TCS, and CCTV design standards and procedures.
- Experience in the operation and maintenance requirements of ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems) infrastructure.
- Proficiency with electronics and telecommunications systems as related to ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems), TCS, and CCTV.
- Knowledge of computer software applications related to ITS and CCTV.
- Prior experience with consultants or contractors in the ITS field is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong presentation skills.
